OpenAI doubles ChatGPT Pro usage limits, cancels planned Pro 200 cut

OpenAI reversed a planned reduction to Pro 200's Work and Codex allowance after subscriber backlash and instead doubled usage limits across its Pro 100, Pro 200 and Pro 500 tiers and Business Premium, effective October 29. Codex lead Thibault Sottiaux announced the change on X. Pro 200 subscribers on the lower allowance were raised to the higher level, while prices stay at $100, $200 and $500 a month and Plus usage is unchanged. Extended limits for Dots, ChatGPT's always-on assistants, continue with usage counted separately.
