OpenAI's Altman meets Samsung executives as memory chip crunch deepens
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman met about 50 top executives from Samsung's electronics, finance and biotech affiliates on Saturday at the company's training center in Yongin, south of Seoul, as memory shortages squeeze AI infrastructure buildouts. Samsung said the talks covered how AI will reshape corporate decision-making and business opportunities over the next decade, building on its deal to supply memory chips for OpenAI's Stargate project. Yonhap reported Altman also met SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won and SK hynix executives the same day.
