Musk and Zuckerberg adopt Trump's 'super intelligence' rebrand on earnings calls; other tech CEOs stick with AI
A month after President Trump ordered executive-branch agencies to replace "artificial intelligence" with "super intelligence," Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg used his preferred term on their Q3 earnings calls, CNBC reports. Musk, who renamed his rocket company's AI division SpaceXSI earlier in October, spoke of "advanced AI or SI" on Tesla's call, while Zuckerberg stressed Meta's goal of "personal superintelligence." Amazon's Andy Jassy, Microsoft's Satya Nadella and Alphabet's Sundar Pichai kept saying "AI" on their calls this week, though Microsoft's annual report used "super intelligence" eight times and IBM CEO Arvind Krishna used both terms.
